Ex-Real Madrid boss, Man Utd assistant Queiroz confident about Iran WC chances

Iran national team manager Carlos Queiroz suggests his side has a great chance of progressing to the 2014 World Cup finals.

Team Melli have been drawn in Group A of Asian qualifying alongside South Korea, Qatar, Uzbekistan, Oman and Lebanon and the former Real Madrid boss and Manchester United assistant is confident of finishing in the top two of the group.

"I think we have a good chance," said the ex-Portugal boss.

"We have a good team, we have good players but the most important thing now is the preparation plan to support our goals and our dreams on this road to the World Cup 2014.

"This is what we need to concentrate on now and that's what we need to focus on, to prepare the Iranian national team."
