Former Real Madrid coach Raddy Antic says Chelsea should write off Fernando Torres.

Antic says Rafa Benitez's arrival won't make a difference to Torres' form.

Antic explained: "The most ­difficult thing for the new coach is to get those fans on side because without that happening I don't think it really matters who is in the Chelsea side.

"He has other priorities ahead of getting Torres back to his best. The team haven't been playing for Torres since he arrived from Liverpool.

"They have never played in a way that suits him. He's not one of those players who can make his own chances, he's a player that relies heavily on his team-mates to create chances for him and that just simply hasn't happened.

"I'm not sure whether the arrival of ­Benitez will make any difference to Fernando, or to Chelsea. I'm extremely sceptical."
