Ex-Reading, Wolves keeper Hahnemann joins Seattle Sounders

Marcus Hahnemann has made his MLS return with former club Seattle Sounders.

The 40-year old goalkeeper kicked off his career in the USL with the Sounders back in 1994 and has now made the full circle after being picked up by the club via the allocation process.

Hahnemann, who played with Fulham, Reading, Wolves and Everton in England, was delighted to make his Seattle comeback and is looking forward to again representing his hometown club.

"This is where I started my career and I wanted to finish here," Hahnemann said in a Sounders club statement.

"This is what we've always dreamed would happen in Seattle, and what I always wanted when I was here."

Sounders head Sigi Schmid added: "Adding Marcus for the final stretch gives us experience and quality on and off the field to supplement our current core of goalkeepers."
