Scottish striker Kenny Miller was on target for Vancouver Whitecaps on the weekend but the Canadian club failed to end a six-game winless run.
The Whitecaps had lost five in a row prior to their home meeting with Colorado Rapids and it appeared as they would pick up their first lot of three points since mid-August when they led 2-1 with five minutes remaining.
Rapids substitute Jamie Smith levelled in the 86th minute to deny Vancouver victory and although it was an opportunity lost, Miller was just happy to avoid defeat.
"Tonight we've lost a goal in the last five minutes of the game which is disappointing, which would have given us a great start to these run of games at home," Miller said after the match. "But we've got a point, we've stopped the rot.
"Tonight I came off the bench and felt pretty good, and just disappointed we've lost another late goal. It just seems to be a running theme this year. We've lost a lot of goals in the last five, last four minutes of games, and it's something we're going to have to put a stop to."
