Ex-Rangers, PSG boss Le Guen: Oman deserved draw in Australia

Oman manager Paul Le Guen believes his side thoroughly deserved their 2-2 draw with Australia in World Cup qualifying.

The Omanis led by two goals early in the second half after Abdul Aziz Al-Muqbali's early finish and Mile Jedinak's own-goal but conceded twice to Tim Cahill and Brett Holman in Group B of Asian qualifiers.

Le Guen admits he felt his side were in with a great chance to pull off an unlikely victory when they led but still feels they earned the draw which allowed them to go to six from as many matches.

"It's quite a good result but when you lead 2-0 you expect more, you dream," the former Rangers, Paris Saint-Germain and Cameroon boss said.

"Maybe we were lucky at the end (not to lose) but I think we deserved the draw."
