Ex-Rangers, Middlesbrough striker Boyd nets first Kilmarnock goal in second spell

Kris Boyd scored his first goal for Kilmarnock since he returned to the club earlier this year.

The 29-year old striker, who left Killie for Rangers back in 2006, is back at Rugby Park and managed to equalise in Wednesday night's 1-1 draw with St Mirren.

Esmael Goncalves opened the scoring for the Paisley club in the 36th minute before Boyd fiercely fired home two minutes into the second half.

The draw but a slight dampener on Killie's top-six hopes as it keeps them in sixth but just a point clear of seventh-placed Aberdeen. St Mirren moved up to10th, replacing Heart of Midlothian.
