Departing Everton boss David Moyes has revealed why his rift with former striker Duncan Ferguson began.
The former Dundee United, Rangers and Scotland forward departed Goodison Park for the second time in 2006 with Moyes admitting that the pair never shook hands upon his departure.
"Duncan and I fell out at the end. He chose not to shake my hand when he left," new Manchester United boss Moyes said of the now-Toffees coach.
"Duncan went into exile. We'd see each other the odd time, but there were no pleasantries.
"Then I got a call from him and he asked to see me. He said he regretted every day for five years that he didn't shake my hand, so we made up.
"He is a changed man and he works at Everton day and night."
