Scott Wilson believes Scottish clubs, in particular those from Glasgow, should continue to track talented youngsters in Australia.
With Central Coast Mariners young gun Tomas Rogic set to join Celtic as soon as he obtains a work permit, former Rangers, Dunfermline Athletic and North Queensland Fury defender Wilson says there is plenty more talent to be spotted Down Under.
"There are lots of good young kids in Australia and clubs from all over the world are now looking to snap them up as quickly as they can," Wilson said.
"I know that Rangers were looking at the Central Coast keeper Mat Ryan and Celtic have now got their attacking midfielder Tom Rogic.
"Like Craig Moore proved when he was at Rangers, Aussies are winners and they have all the attributes to be successful in the SPL. They are great athletes.
"Obviously coming to play for the Old Firm there is a lot of pressure, but they fit in well with the Scottish players and unlike a lot of foreign players coming in the physical side of the game here isn't going to worry them."
