Former Rangers defender Arthur Numan has joined Aston Villa as a scout for Alex McLeish.
The 41-year old Dutchman played under McLeish from 2001 until 2003 whilst he was at the helm of 'Gers and will now take up the scouting role with Villa.
Numan, a former Holland international, indicated that he would be scouring the Dutch market to bring in some talent for McLeish at Villa Park.
"I played for Alex McLeish for two years at Rangers and know him well," he said.
"I have signed a one-year scouting contract with Villa.
"They are very ambitious and they want their scouting to be more professional.
"Hopefully, I can pick up some Dutch talent for Villa."
