Ex-Rangers defender Munro appointed as Perth Glory assistant coach

Former Rangers defender Stuart Munro has been named the new Perth Glory assistant coach.

The 48-year old has teamed up with fellow Scotsman Ian Ferguson to oversee the Western Australian club who are currently experiencing one of the worst non-winning runs in A-League history.

Munro has extensive coaching experience at club level in Victoria, leading a number of clubs including Dandenong Thunder, Oakleigh Cannons, South Melbourne and Carlton.

Munro, who also played for the likes of St Mirren, Falkirk, Blackburn Rovers, Bristol City and Sydney United, steps into the position originally held by Ferguson before he took over from former coach Dave Mitchell in October.
