Former Dundee, Rangers and Cardiff City midfielder Gavin Rae says he could be open to a move to Australia or the USA for the next phase of his career.
The 33-year old has continued to train with Cardiff after being released at the end of last season but he knows he will have to find a new club if he wants to keep playing at a top level.
The former Scotland international admits there were a few times recently where he was close to a move but says it has come to a point where he may have to look at moving abroad with the A-League or MLS possible options.
"Malky Mackay's been kind enough to let me work with Cardiff for a bit and it's just a case of getting a club," he said.
"I felt I'd join Aberdeen or Charlton, but those deals both fell through. I have been really unlucky in that way.
"It's a bit of a worry because I wasn't expecting to be in this situation.
"But I am just keeping my head down and waiting for something. I'd be open to offers from Australia or MLS football in America.
"I have played in a lot of games in the Championship for Cardiff and hopefully that helps."
