Ex-Rangers ace Boyd confident Portland Timbers will snap out of losing streak

Kris Boyd is remaining positive after Portland Timbers dropped their fourth match in a row on the weekend.

The Scottish striker scored the opening goal against LA Galaxy at The Home Depot Center but the visitors were overrun to eventually lose 3-1, forcing them down to the bottom of the Western Conference table.

Portland won their opening match of the campaign before recording a draw but it has been one-way traffic since then with a quartet of losses on the trot but Boyd is staying upbeat about his new clubs situation.

"We have to stick together. We'll come out of it and I'm sure we to stay positive and hopefully again next week we go at it and hopefully we get three points," Boyd said.

"The Galaxy are one of the better clubs in America but no different than any other team. Like I said before the most important thing is to get the three points and we're disappointed not get that."
