New York Red Bull are set to announce the appointment of Paulo Sousa as their new head coach.
Soccer By Ives reports that the Portuguese tactic has accepted the role to replace Hans Backe and will be unveiled this week.
Sousa has previously managed QPR, Swansea City and Leicester City and recently departed Hungarian club Videoton.
It is also believed that the Red Bulls want former Bayer Leverkusen, Wolfsburg, Rangers, Sunderland and Manchester City midfielder Claudio Reyna as Sousa's assistant.
