Former Arsenal and QPR striker Jay Bothroyd is happy with his move to Japan's Jubilo Iwata.
Jubilo Iwata are currently playing in J2.
Bothroyd said: "They model their game on the Premier League in terms of fans, standard of football stadia and it's a great place to live. I love it here.
"I was in Thailand last year and the top three or four clubs are really decent but after that it's more like lower league stuff.
"But if you watch the Asia Cup, the Japanese national team and Japanese football, then the standard is much higher. Shinji Kagawa joined Borussia Dortmund from a Japanese second division team.
"They offered me a three year deal which gives me security and a great way of life out here."
