Dexter Blackstock has signed a new long-term deal with Nottingham Forest it has been confirmed.
The 26-year old striker has penned a four-and-a-half-year deal with Forest who he joined from QPR in 2009 following a loan spell at the City Ground.
Blackstock was due to come out of contract in the summer but has committed himself to Forest with club chairman Fawaz Al Hasawi delighted with his decision to stay put.
"It quickly became apparent to me just how important a player Dexter is to Nottingham Forest after my family completed our purchase of the Club last summer," he said.
"I made it one of my top priorities to persuade him to sign a new extended contract and I'm delighted he has chosen to do so."
