Former QPR and Fulham star Rodney Marsh believes Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho can rescue the career of Wayne Rooney.
The Manchester United striker is the subject of a bid from Chelsea.
Marsh told talkSPORT: "I saw those quotes from Mourinho. He's brilliant. He's a brilliant manager, a brilliant man-manager. He has the psychology of the game down pat.
"All I hear is how people like John Terry and Frank Lampard love him. So for him to say Rooney is his only transfer target means he's probably walking around feeling ten feet tall.
"In my opinion, Rooney has fallen out of love with football. When he was younger you could see the smile on his face, he was running around, banging in goals, laughing and having fun. In the last couple of years he's got a bit angry and moody and has fallen out of love with the game.
"If Rooney goes to Chelsea he'll get back to his best. And at his best he is world class."
