Former Puebla head coach Jose Luis Sanchez Sola - AKA 'Chelis' - is being heavily tipped to take the Chivas USA job.
According to MedioTiempo.com, the 53-year old Mexican is set to step into the role vacated by Robin Fraser in November although nothing official has yet come through.
When quizzed on the job, Chelis indicated that he was looking forward to bringing some Mexican influence to the Los Angeles club.
"It doesn't have a style and it has lost its Mexican base. In the last tournament they played without Mexicans and I imagine that giving the team a Mexican base, we can get to that style of soccer that I like to play," he said.
"From there people will come on board, we'll achieve more and from there you begin to please and give something different from the soccer in that league. It's possible to achieve it and reach many objectives."
