Ex-PSG, Tottenham winger Ginola: We need to see changes at FIFA

Former Tottenham star David Ginola demands changes at FIFA following the recent corruption scandal.

The football world was rocked recently with the news that seven of FIFA's top officials were arrested on suspicion of receiving bribes of up to £98million.

The arrests serves to further damage FIFA's already tarnished reputation and following the shocking revelations, former Paris Saint-Germain, Newcastle United and Spurs ace Ginola has demanded changes in the hierarchy of the world's most powerful sports organization - calling for more involvement of former players.

Ginola said: "We need to see changes at Fifa, we are talking about the main sport around the world, the most popular sport. The least Fifa can do is show a little faith towards the people, starting with postponing the election taking place in two days time.

"Can you imagine an election of a prime minister taking place with a cabinet minister being arrested on suspicion of corruption? I don't think so. Right from the top, we need to change every single thing."
