Ex-PSG, Monaco winger Nene eager for West Ham game time

Nene is determined to be included in West Ham United's line-up for this weekend's clash with Manchester City.

The Brazilian winger has made just five substitute appearances since arriving at Upton Park in February following his release from Al-Gharafa but says he is now ready for action when the Hammers travel to the Etihad Stadium.

"It's better for everyone to see me live and direct, so I've worked hard in training to play more," said the former Monaco and Paris Saint-Germain ace in the matchday programme.

"My fitness now is good so I think I am ready to play more time in the games, so hopefully the coach can put me in and I can help the team to win games.

"That is why I came, so I want to thank the supporters by showing them directly what I can do when I play.

"The support here is really good and gives me motivation to do my work the same way I did it with PSG."
