Peguy Luyindula felt he performed well on debut for New York Red Bull on the weekend.
The 33-year old French striker, who signed with the Red Bulls during the week, played 80 minutes of his new clubs 1-0 defeat to Montreal Impact and despite the loss, was happy with how he played.
"It felt great to get back out there and play. I felt good today and I'm satisfied with my first game," he said.
"I really like the team and we seem to have some chemistry on the pitch which I thought was visible out there today. We didn't win, but I thought we played well."
Luyindula had a couple of decent chances to open his account on debut but head coach Mike Petke was staying positive even though his side remains winless after five MLS outings.
"I think we saw very good things from Peguy, we saw the quality he has. I think 9 times out of ten he buries those chances. I saw a lot of good things from him," he said.
"I like large chunks of what I saw. His movement off the ball was good today and defensively he committed to putting pressure."
