Former PSG chief Leonardo admits Manchester United striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic wasn't his first choice.

Ibrahimovic left Paris last summer a legend of the club, but Leonardo admits if he'd had his way the Swede would never have signed for PSG.

"When I was with PSG, I wanted Gonzalo Higuain to come to France," he said.

"I talked to his brother (and agent), but Real Madrid did not want to release him.

"So I then turned to Ibrahimovic."
