Former Peterborough United boss Darren Ferguson is eyeing the Reading job.
Ferguson is among the leading contenders to take over at the Madejski Stadium after Brendan Rodgers was sacked by the Royals earlier this month.
The 37-year-old is also on Sheffield Wednesday's shortlist to take over from the axed Brian Laws - but Nigel Worthington is thought to be the Owls' first choice.
Ferguson, who was sacked by Peterborough in November, said: "With the situation of me being unemployed, I'd be a fool not to speak to clubs.
"Am I interested in talking to Sheffield Wednesday or Reading? The answer to that would be yes, I am interested."
