Ex-Perth, Wellington striker Dadi keen on Tranmere move

Former Perth Glory and Wellington Phoenix striker Eugene Dadi is hoping to win a contract with English League One club Tranmere Rovers.

The Ivorian forward spent time at Prenton Park in between 2003 and 2005 and according to manager Les Parry, is keen to make a comeback.

"I had a phone call on Saturday from Eugene wanted to come back, so I'm talking to him at the moment," Parry said.

"I think he's about 34 now.

"That would be an interesting one, and I also talked to quite an established striker on Saturday."

Dadi's contract with the Phoenix expired at the end of last season and he has been unable to find a new club since leaving New Zealand.
