Ex-Partick Thistle midfielder Storey keen to remain in Europe

Simon Storey says he is keen to remain in Europe after he decided to leave Scottish First Division club Partick Thistle.

The 26-year old former Melbourne Victory player revealed he could not quite agree to terms with Partick Thistle and will now pursue a new contract somewhere in Europe.

"I've just spoken to Ian (McCall, the Partick manager) and we didn't necessarily come to an agreement and it was probably time for me to move on," Storey said.

"I've loved it there, it's been fantastic and I've thoroughly enjoyed everything about the club. It is like the same reason it was time to also leave the Victory and leave Melbourne, it was probably good timing for me and now there's another adventure and another challenge to move onto.

"I still want to stay in Europe for the time being," Storey added.

"But at the moment we're just waiting to see what arises.

"Obviously right now it is sort of a bit of a lull, while everyone's away on holiday at the end of the season and we'll start figuring out it a bit more as things get back into motion over the next few weeks."
