Former Palermo coach Delio Rossi doesn't believe Sir Alex Ferguson would succeed in Italy. Rossi believes Italy should learn some lessons from Manchester United, particularly in terms of patience.
"Sir Alex Ferguson could never succeed in Serie A," he told the Corriere dello Sport.
"We make decisions based on weekly results. There is all this talk of long-term projects, then three weeks later it has all gone back to front. I'd love to know how Inter can go from Jose Mourinho to Leonardo to Gian Piero Gasperini. They are too different.
"The truth is a Coach in Italy has a different function compared to overseas. Here we know Presidents because they are always in the headlines, whereas many of us don't remember the name of the President at Arsenal or Manchester United.
"I agree with Pep Guardiola, who said a great club makes a great Coach. If at the start of every season 10 or 11 clubs have changed management, it means some decisions weren't thought through."
