Former Palermo coach Delio Rossi is adamant he has not heard from crisis club Inter Milan.
He has been touted as a potential replacement for Coaches under pressure, such as Gasperini at Inter and AS Roma's Luis Enrique.
"I was never contacted by Inter," Rossi told RMC. "I am not working out of choice, as the right proposal has not arrived to entice me.
"Roma have just started their new project and need a little time to develop."
Rossi was impressed by Napoli, who are top of the table after thrashing Milan 3-1.
"They already had a great run last season and kept their Coach, so the machinery is well-oiled.
"Adding Gokhan Inler and Blerim Dzemaili in midfield, with Goran Pandev in attack, means this is a side in great shape that has been strengthened over the summer."
