Former Crystal Palace and Newcastle United goalkeeper John Burridge has been appointed as the Singapore national team's new assistant goalkeeping coach.
The 62-year old Englishman has been brought in by the Football Association of Singapore (FAS) to help current keeping coach Lee Bee Seng in German Bernd Stange's Lions setup.
"FAS has offered John Burridge a goalkeeper coaching position to complement the duties and responsibilities of Bee Seng," a FAS spokesperson told Goal Singapore.
"John will work with the head coaches of all national teams and conduct goalkeeping courses. With his vast international experience, he will assist with the identification of goalkeeping talents and the mentoring of goalkeeper coaches."
During his extensive playing career, Burridge spent time with the likes of Aston Villa, Blackpool, QPR, Wolves, Sheffield United, Southampton, Manchester City and Hibernian.
