Richie Williams has been appointed as the new manager of the USA U18 national team.
The former New York Red Bulls assistant and interim boss has been handed the U18s role just months after losing his job at Red Bull Arena and joins Caleb Porter (U23) and Tab Ramos (U20) as other new coaches to join US Soccer under senior team manager Jurgen Klinsmann.
"I'm honored to be given the chance to coach the U-18 Men's National Team, and I want to thank the U.S. Soccer Federation for the opportunity," said Williams.
"I'm excited about the prospect of helping our young elite players develop their abilities and move them in the direction of progressing to our other national teams.
By working together with Juergen Klinsmann, Caleb Porter and Tam Ramos, we will have an integrated approach in developing players who will fit in with our style of play."
