Ex-Nottingham Forest defender Wilson set for Celtic Euro debut

New Celtic defender Kelvin Wilson is set to make his European debut tonight when the club meets FC Sion in a Europa League play-off.

The 25-year old, who joined the Hoops from Nottingham Forest in July, has been at the heart of a defence that has shipped just one goal in its opening three league matches and manager Neil Lennon hopes he can continue that form against the Swiss outfit at Parkhead.

"Kelvin brings that quality we haven't had at the back, centrally," he said.

"He's got natural pace and he's very composed on the ball.

"He's played very well for us considering that from January he's hardly played any first team football at all.

"This will be a real test for him, it's his European debut and it will be interesting to see how he copes with the different style of play."
