Former Norwich City and West Ham United striker Dean Ashton is delighted for Southampton striker Ricki Lambert over his England call.
Ashton wrote in the Daily Mail: "Rickie Lambert's doing pretty well. For him he's got to the Premier League a little later on in his career but he's obviously found the right club and he's ridden the wave of Southampton. He's been superb for them and he's performing well and scoring goals. The one thing is, he got his chance with England and he took it. A lot of strikers have had chances with England and perhaps not taken them. That's what it's about, taking your chances."
