Ugandan striker Eugene Sseppuya is close to signing a deal with Israeli outfit Maccabi Haifa it has been reported.
The former North Queensland Fury man's agent, Maric Darko, told the Daily Monitor that Sseppuya was on the verge of making the move to Israel.
"At the moment, I am negotiating with Israelian club Maccabi Haifa. We have other possibilities but for now I am in negotiations with them," he said.
After Sseppuya was released from his Fury contract, there were reports that Perth Glory and Melbourne Victory were showing interest, but this latest news suggests that he will be on his way out of Australia after five months in Townsville.
