Former Newcastle United and Hull City midfielder Hatem Ben Arfa has turned down an offer from Turkey.

Ben Arfa was blocked from joining Nice in midseason by FIFA after appearing for Hull and Newcastle reserves already this season.

Foot Mercato says a mid-table Turkish club have come forward in recent days with a bumper, three-year contract offer.

But Ben Arfa turned down the deal as he wants to continue his career in France next season.

The 28 year-old remains in contact with Nice about next term.
