Former Newcastle United striker Paul Goddard is impressed by Toon No9 Papiss Cisse.

Goddard has been hugely impressed by Cisse's immediate impact this season.

He told the Daily Express: "He scores lots of different types of goals, with both feet and his head - often the sign of a natural finisher.

"He looks like a bundle of energy and his goal-scoring record in Germany was also very good. The Bundesliga is a difficult place to score and to have that record behind him underlines his calibre.

"It is still a bit of a surprise that he has settled in so quickly, but I'm delighted for him. If he equals my record I'll be happy, too, and if it helps Newcastle get a result, all the better as I would love to see them in the Champions League. They would be a breath of fresh air."
