Les Ferdinand is convinced Newcastle United strikers Demba Ba and Papiss Cisse will come good.

Former England and Toon star Ferdinand is convinced they will soon rediscover the blistering form they showed last season.

"Cisse and Ba were in unbelievable form last season and struck up a fantastic partnership," Ferdinand told the Evening Chronicle.

"Ba started the season really well and when Cisse joined he scored almost a goal-a-game.

"For whatever reason, the goals haven't been flowing so far this season.

"Last season they seemed to play as a pair, while they seem to be playing more as individuals. But they are both excellent finishers, and I'm sure they will come good over the course of the season."
