Former Newcastle United striker Shola Ameobi is being linked with Hull City.

The Daily Mail says following his release from Turkish Second Division outfit Gazianstep, the 33-year-old is free to return to the Premier League.

The Nigerian international netted four times in 11 appearances for Gazianstep, but has left the club after it ran into financial difficulties.
