Andy O'Brien has joined Liverpool's scouting team.
The former Newcastle United defender is now based in Canada.
The Liverpool Echo says O'Brien has been posted by Liverpool to watch Vancouver Whitecaps striker Alphonso Davies.
The 15-year-old started for the Whitecaps in a 3-3 draw with the Colorado Rapids, and has apparently gained attention from scouts from Manchester United as well as Liverpool.
