Former Newcastle United boss Glenn Roeder says Michael Owen will score goals for Manchester United.
Roeder said: "'Let's face it nobody - even Cristiano Ronaldo - could have scored goals for Newcastle in the last couple of years. They had no width or creativity in midfield.
''But now he's at Manchester United Michael will love his new surroundings and all his motivation will come flooding back.
''This is just the move he wanted to get himself back into the England team for the World Cup finals in South Africa and the chance to break Sir Bobby Charlton's record of 49 goals.
''He is still a class act with every technique in the book when it comes to scoring goals. After all the undeserved criticism he has had lately I am absolutely delighted for him.''
