Former New England Revolution star Steve Ralston is set to leave USSF Division 2 club AC St Louis for a MLS return.
The 35-year old midfielder helped start St Louis' new team but was left feeling unsure as the club experienced financial difficulties.
Ralston was earning decent money with the club but has decided to leave to ensure they can survive and is eyeing a new contract with an unnamed MLS outfit.
"There's a lot to be sorted out," he said.
"Honestly, I was hoping to see this thing out in St. Louis," Ralston added. "I think the team will survive and I think this is a win-win for both sides since it frees up a little bit of money."
