Former Celtic star Paul Hartley says Old Firm rivals Rangers need to go back to the Scottish Premier League in order to help the game.
With talks ongoing regarding the possible restructure of the Scottish Football League, Alloa boss Hartley suggests 'Gers need to be restored in the top flight for the good of Scottish football.
"We need to restructure the game because Scottish football is suffering," he said.
"When I was at Celtic the title went down to the last day twice - but the standard has dropped over the last few years, so we need to do something to make it better.
"The Old Firm are the major selling point and we need to get that back for a start.
"You are in the game for fixtures like the Old Firm derby.
"It was a big call to deny Rangers entry into the top flight and I don't think it was the right one."
