Barry Robson was officially unveiled as a Vancouver Whitecaps player on Monday, four months after signing a contract with the club.
The 33-year old Scottish midfielder has joined from English Championship club Middlesbrough on a three-year deal to be a Designated Player with the Canadian club but he is under no illusions about walking straight into the Whitecaps line-up.
"I know I'm going to have to work hard to get on the side, I know that. I'm not stupid. Some really good, young, terrific people are here.
"It's going to be hard but I'm looking forward to working with them and making me better and hopefully I can make them better.""I respect my teammates wherever I go," he said of the Vancouver side which sits third on the Western Conference table.
