Former Melbourne Victory goalkeeper Michael Theoklitos looks certain to leave English League One club Norwich City next month.
The dual A-League championship-winning shot-stopper has found life tough at Carrow Road ever since he conceded seven goals on debut in a horror start to his Canaries career and it is now likely that a January move away from the club will occur.
However, according to Norwich manager Paul Lambert, the 28-year old will not be returning to Australia despite being linked with incoming A-League club Melbourne Heart.
"I did have a team on the phone," Lambert told the Norfolk Eastern Daily Press. "But Michael doesn't want to go back to Australia, so that was as far as it went. He doesn't want to go back there.
"As I said last time, he's got to go and get playing somewhere to get his career up and running. He works hard in training, doesn't give me an ounce of a problem.
"He might not like me because he's not playing, but that's the way it goes sometimes. He's at an age where he has to play."
