Spanish striker Sergio Koke is being linked with a move to join MLS club Houston Dynamo.
The 27-year old recently departed Greek Super League outfit Aris Thessaloniki and reports suggest he is certainly on his way to the USA.
Koke, who has also spent time with French club Marseille and Spain's Malaga whilst taking in a loan deal in Portugal with Sporting Lisbon, explained the reasons for his Aris departure, intimating that a deal elsewhere had been offered.
"I thought of my family first," said the Spanish attacker. "I have been here for five years and I wanted a new experience.
"[Aris] helped me develop as a man and then as a player. Aris is a club that makes you feels deep sentiments, but unfortunately, such is life in professional soccer.
"This proposal came from abroad and it is going to help my family considerably."
Rumours are rife that he will soon sign with the Dynamo but it remains to be seen where he will end up.
