Former Manchester United winger Lee Sharpe has questioned David Moyes' ability in the transfer market.
Sharpe feels the manager's two big signings were "unwise".
He told talkSPORT: "It's tough for Moyes, he's been put in the job by Sir Alex Ferguson, he's been given a long contract and has asked to be given time.
"But I don't think the £65million for the two signings he's made [Juan Mata and Marouane Fellaini] has been spent wisely, are the club going to risk giving him another £100million this summer?
"Missing out on Europe is a massive loss for the club financially, so I think he's under pressure, but they're trying to give him a bit of time as well.
"It was always going to be tough after Sir Alex left, but I don't think anybody expected it to be this tough."
