Former Manchester United winger Keith Gillespie is proud of his time at Old Trafford.
Gillespie trusted Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson implicitly.
That trust extended to the fact that Gillespie let Ferguson negotiate his deal when he moved from Old Trafford to Newcastle in 1995.
Ferguson repaid his faith, helping to secure Gillespie a bumper pay deal for the move to St James's Park which was part of the move that took Andy Cole to the Reds.
"Before he started the negotiations," Gillespie told the Mirror, "he spoke to my mum and explained the situation. She knew he would look after me.
"I trusted him totally and have nothing but respect and admiration for him and everything he has achieved."
