Former Manchester United winger Keith Gillespie believes David Moyes was sacked over financial concerns.
The former United prodigy says corporate ticket sales are down at Old Trafford because blue-chip fans have been switched off by Moyes.
Gillespie said on Twitter: "Heard that executive ticket sales at Old Trafford were not going well. Corporate United couldn't afford to leave Moyes in charge.
"I was never a supporter of Moyes, but I do feel sorry that the job caught him out to the extent it did. I wish him success for the future."
