Wellington goalkeeper Jake Gleeson has signed with Portland Timbers. The 20 year-old Kiwi has had trials with Manchester United and Everton in England and is regarded as an outstanding prospect.
"The MLS is a fantastic league and America has produced some of the best goalkeepers in the world," Gleeson told the Dominion Post
"I'm not really thinking about the All Whites at the moment but I'm excited for the season to start. Portland is a big football city and we have some great fans."
