Rotherham United boss Mark Robins is being linked with the job at Oldham Athletic.

Joe Royle - who returned to Boundary Park after the sacking of John Sheridan six weeks ago - insisted: "I always said I would stay until the end of the season.

"Oldham will always have a place in my heart, but it is a job for a younger man."

Former Manchester United and Norwich City star Robins has big admirers on the Oldham board and is favourite for the job.
