Ex-Man Utd striker Macheda rejected Italian offers for Cardiff move

Kiko Macheda resisted a return to Italy to sign for Cardiff City.

The former Manchester United striker agreed to join Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's Cardiff yesterday.

"Cardiff was chosen because Macheda knows very well that the coach wanted him strongly, they were together at Manchester United and he's excited to be working with him again," agent Giovanni Bia told TMW.

"Yes, in fact there was some offers (from Italy), but he is doing very well in England and therefore has chosen well."
