Former Manchester United striker Diego Forlan is eyeing a return to the Premier League.

The Atletico Madrid frontman admits if he had the opportunity to return to England he would jump at it which may alert clubs like Manchester City, Tottenham and Liverpool who all pursued the Uruguayan in the summer.

However, the 30-year old does not feel the need to prove himself after an indifferent stint with the Red Devils.

"England, and the Premier League, gave me things and I thank them for that. If I have the chance to return I would like to go," Forlan said.

"I feel I have nothing to prove there, the only difference is that I am more experienced today."
