Manchester United hero Mickey Thomas is convinced Tottenham star Gareth Bale is making a move to Old Trafford. Bale may have snubbed a deal with Real Madrid in order to force a deal with Manchester United, says the Mirror.
The Welshman flew home from Spain yesterday, and could be back in the UK to agree terms with United.
Former Wales and Manchester United winger Thomas told BBC Sport that there is a belief at Old Trafford that Bale is now on his way to Manchester.
"The whispers around [Manchester United] are that he's Old Trafford-bound," said Thomas.
"That might be more in hope than anything else but it could happen, because by all accounts Real Madrid have not got all the money to put down for Gareth Bale and by all accounts they owe money [to Spurs] for Luka Modric."
